Suzanne Lynch

Suzanne Lynch was discovered along with her sister Judy by New Zealand guitarist Peter Posa they became regular performers on the television show ‘C’Mon’ and in 1970 as a soloist, Suzanne was also a regular on the television show ‘Happen In’. Having established a name in New Zealand as the blonde member of the popular 60's duo "The Chicks" and then as a solo performer; Suzanne Lynch was offered the opportunity to fly to London and perform with Val Doonican on his television show whilst touring with him in New Zealand in 1972.

Suzanne joined a vocal backing group called "Bones" with Joy Yates ( a fellow Kiwi in London) and an American girl Jackie Sullivan and they fast became the first call backing group in London for Television shows live shows and recording sessions as they were described as having a more "American sound" than the English groups.

Suzanne also sang vocal backing on a "Lulu" TV special ... "Little and Large" TV show The Goodies.. (several times ) and when she was 8 months pregnant in 1978 with her son Andrew she sang on Leo Sayer's TV series.

Suzanne toured with...Neil Sedaka throughout England in the 1970s.

Suzanne used to rush up to his room after every show to have cups of tea and toasted sandwiches and listen to him tell funny stories of his amazing life. She also toured England and Europe with Charles Aznavour. In the vocal group with Joy and Jackie Suzanne did an awful lot of recording as a backup vocalist to many English artists. It was during one of these sessions she met and worked with CAT STEVENS. The first song Suzanne did for him was "Oh Very Young" on which she got to sing the solo line. Bruce was also there that day as he had been booked to play bass on Cat's record. Through working with Cat Stevens, Suzanne met a producer named Paul Samuel Smith and he got her in to sing on some of his artists records including Chris De Burgh and Art Garfunkel… Somehow in between all this, she was also following her own career as a soloist signing to Ringo Starrs label "Ringo Records" recording a single in Nashville for him with "Poppa Don Schroder" called "You Really Got A Hold On Me" which got a lot of airplay in England and was commonly known as a "turntable hit" It was released in New Zealand and Australia and reached No 1 in Perth and No 6 Nationally in Australia..and made the charts in New Zealand..

Suzanne recorded her own album produced by Eddie Rayner from Split Enz in 2006 called "Colour Of Summer"
