North Shores own celebrity tourist attraction ‘NZ’s WALK OF FAME’ is most definitely a place to visit if you’re a fan of Kiwi memorabilia! Launching on the 1st July 2010, the first star was placed on the Orewa Boulevard by iconic Kiwi entertainer Ray Woolf. Since then, numerous stars have been placed on the Boulevard honouring famous Kiwi entertainers, some of whom have already, sadly, passed on.

Created by Orewa local, entrepreneur and professional entertainer Gary Brown, Stars on the Orewa Boulevard include Hello Sailor, Gray Bartlett, Dennis Marsh, Sir Howard Morrison, Ray Columbus, Tom Sharplin and the Cadillacs, Suzanne Lynch, Shane Hales, Ray Woolf, Larry Morris, Les Andrews and David Hartnell. Some, like Dennis Marsh, even performed there live!

Due to council and land ownership changes in the area, it’s time to move the stars to a new home! They’ll still feature in pride of place in Orewa, but in a new even more exciting destination! To aid the uplift, redesign and relocation of the stars, a number of our wonderful celebrities are giving up their time to perform at 2 concerts: our official fundraiser also happening in Orewa. If you’re a fan of NZ music, this is one not to be missed.

ABOUT THE EVENT

NZ’s WALK OF FAME started in 1st July 2010, when the first star was placed on the Orewa Boulevard by the entertainer RAY WOOLF, since then we now have numerous stars on the Boulevard honouring our famous Kiwi Entertainers.

This is a way of thanking all our famous Kiwis in the music, film, media & TV industry that have entertained us all over the many decades. Once a celebrity receives a star, then their name will be remembered for the future years and people will learn about the celebrity from the biography that will be placed on the NZ Walk of Fame website.

These stars are laid on the Orewa Boulevard and there are plans to place more stars on the Orewa Boulevard in the future. Some of the celebrities we have contacted are
